Overview
Phoenix Tools is a collection of browser-based utilities. The majority of processing happens entirely in your browser. Your files, text, and data are not uploaded to any server unless a tool explicitly requires server-side processing (which is clearly stated on that tool's page).
What we collect
- No personal data. We do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information.
- No account system. There is no registration or login, so no user credentials are stored.
- Analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (e.g., Vercel Web Analytics) to understand aggregate page views and performance. These do not track individual users or use cookies for profiling.
Local storage
Certain features (recently used tools, favorites, theme preference) use your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
File processing
Tools that process files (PDFs, images, documents) do so using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files are read into browser memory, processed, and the result is made available for download — no server upload occurs.
Third-party services
We use Google Fonts for typography, loaded via Next.js font optimization (self-hosted, no external requests at runtime). We do not embed third-party tracking pixels, social media widgets, or advertising scripts.
Cookies
Phoenix Tools does not set any tracking cookies. The theme preference is stored via localStorage, not cookies.
Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. We apply security headers including Content Security Policy, Strict-Transport-Security, X-Frame-Options, and others. Cryptographic tools use the browser's native Web Crypto API and do not transmit keys, passwords, or hashes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as we add features. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
